State Pride

I love the state pride necklaces that are popping up! It's such a fun way to add a unique addition to any outfit. I am planning my move to New York (very excited, yet nervous) but will always be an Idaho girl at heart. These are a couple versions that I am longing for. The splurge, a Maya Brenner Designs necklace. The steal, a necklace by Kris Nations

Tuesday Shoesday

I adore Jenna Lyons' description of "Shiny Ponies!" J.Crew always produces such a beautiful collection of pumps and flats alike. I am absolutely in love the Etta Glitter Heel that she describes as a "party in the front, business in the back" sorta shoe (though I am sad to see that they are sold out online). She is spot on in her description of leopard being a neutral and your shoes being informative of who you are. The shoes I wear are a description of how I feel at that moment, be it daring or bold, or cold and tired. Happy Shoesday!

TBT: Remembering the Past and Reading Up on the Present

TBT: Chanel Little Black Jacket Exhibit in NYC.

Fashionista takes a look at the year's top bloggers. Such an ambitious and forward thinking group of young people. I aspire to be to be in their ranks one day, or at least chasing at their heels. (fashionista)

Such a great article about a woman who is a strong role model and promotes the power of intellect. She has stood strong, even when an entire nation has doubted her choice in something as trivial as hair accessories. (The Cut)

Street style is by far one of my favorite sources of inspiration. Until I am able to attend a couture show myself, I will scour the Internet for photos like these. (WWD)

Introducing the MP

Quoi de neuf? In an attempt to avoid looking like a complete vagabond this morning, I slipped into a newly thrifted pair of heels before heading out to a local coffee shop to do some reading and writing. I am not an experienced thrifter but am finding a few great pieces at the boutique I am working at this holiday season.

I have been in a mood of wanting to try something new with my hair, so I went for the middle part (MP) ponytail and called it a day. Not sure if it will be a reoccurring coif but I felt it was worth a try.
Jacket, DVF (similar here). Hoodie, J.Crew (similar here). Tee, Madewell. Jeans, Forever 21. Shoes, Boutique 9 (thrifted from Piece Unique). Bag, DVF. Shades, Proof.

J.Crew + DU Shopping Event

Excited for the opportunity to host this DU and J.Crew shopping event at the Cherry Creek J.Crew on October 28th.

J.Crew is really emphasizing the clothing mullet this season: party on the top and business on the bottom! I couldn't be more in favor of this trend and will be playing with my wardrobe to combine casual and structured pieces this winter.

A Look Back

With Paris Fashion week wrapping up I can't help but remember my experience in Paris last year. the city is incomparable to any other and looking back at these photos reminds me of the exciting adventures I had while studying there. My passion for all things fashion deepened there, so much so, that I waited almost three hours to get inside the magnificent tent of the Elie Saab Spring 2012 show. It was an experience I will always remember and I look forward to the time when I am able to return to Paris, for a fashion show or simply to stroll along the Seine.

Taking a dusty stroll through the Tuileries.

Karlie Kloss looking as fierce then as she does now.

Weekend Walks

Quoi de neuf? Back in Boise, finally! I love walking in the North End, there are so many different styles of homes and the atmosphere is laid-back and peaceful. Spending these past few weeks in Boise has been a pleasant change from where I was living this summer in New York City. Its unbelievably smokey here, however. Who would have thought that the air quality in New York would be better than Boise, Idaho.

These Banana Republic wedges have definitely seen better days but they are honestly the most comfortable shoes I own. I check back into BR every now and again wishing I can find a similar pair, but so far, no luck.

Top, J.Crew. Pants, Leifnotes. Clutch & Bracelet, Forever 21. Shoes, Banana Republic (similar here). Sunglasses, Tory Burch. Watch, Michael Kors. Lipstick, Sephora.
